Absolutely a great dining experience! We were a party of four. We were first timers and can't rave more about our wonderful time at this gastronomic venue. The Tuna Tostadas were so amazing. Our group went family style and ordered the fall apart Lamb shank and whole red snapper. Huge portions and feed us all. Dessert was delicious! Don't miss their Guava Cheesecake!! Service here is truly superb as well. We highly recommend and will return again soon!!

Just had the most amazing meal here. We had the shareable Espaldilla De Cordero and the ratatouille. Both were absolutely incredible and we can't stop talking about it. The lamb was Smokey and so tender and had the most amazing sauce. I will be thinking about this meal for a long time! Our server was so great and all the service here was quality. Thank you Casa Virginia for our most memorable meal in Mexico City!

While in Mexico City for our honeymoon, we ate at some incredible restaurants. As far as overall experience though, I think Casa Virginia was my favorite. Everything was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented in a beautiful way. Plus the service was impeccable! We needed a place to go to for thanksgiving dinner. While not a popular holiday in Mexico, it was still hard to find places with reservations for 8 ppl due to Covid. CV made it really easy with open table, we got a res for 7pm. They sat us down in the back room in this gorgeous private space with a long table. When I explained that I was gluten free, they carefully wrote down on the menu all the things I needed to avoid. There was still a ton I could order. Our group did family style, and ordered almost everything. We got the friend shrimp wontons, the escargot, the burrata, pate, the pork mignon, sea-bass, short rib, lamb shank, risotto and a whole fish! Everything we ate was amazing. I had to skip the shrimp and risotto but I was told those were also great. My favorite dish was probably the lamb shank and the fish. Our cocktails and wine were also perfectly balanced and amazing. Wine in Mexico isn't always the best, but CV had a wonderful selection and we ended up ordering 4 or 5 bottles. Even though this restaurant isn't as well known or eclectic as some of the others you've heard of, it is a must if you are seeking delicious and well made food!

Taken to casa Virginia by some local Chilango amigos. We were very lucky indeed, this is not a restaurant on the tourist radar. The locals want to keep it that way. It's a white tablecloth place set in a beautiful 1930's building, with impeccable service, outstanding cocktails try the 19, it's got fresh epasote ground into It with mescal and pineapple juice, fresh and fabulous. We had suckling pig, with great crispy skin and pork that actually tasted like pork. A braised lamb with garlic and guajillo chiles, fresh local porcini mushrooms also sautéed with a little dried chile and garlic and a fresh sea bass that was one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. This place rocks it. When in the ROMA borough, gotta go but make a reservation in advance.

I was in Mexico City for work for roughly two weeks and a coworker decided to take me to see a bit of the city and the first stop was here at casa Virginia. We called ahead of time for reservations and they mentioned that there were no tables but they told us to come by anyways in the case that someone cancelled. We went by because my friend mentioned that the restaurant was run by a prominent chef in Mexico and it was highly recommended by a local friend. We came here and selected a variety of platters and I was informed that they sometimes diversify the menu. We ordered a type of short rip and also with a bottle of wine.the meat was tender and came with the full bone and literally melted off as you cut into it. We had it with vegetables and mashed potatoes. We did not order dessert because we were so full from the dinner. The environment and the food was a show stopper and I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Mexico City.

In a New Orleans style French food mood this afternoon and what a treat! Here is what we enjoyed: mescal/pepino drink, escargots, foie gras, brioche, assortment of breads, butter, beer and a warm salad made with figs, spinach and gorgonzola. Can't wait to try the French onion soup.
